Marketing and Sales Specialist - SICK MAIHAK

This position is based in our Houston, TX office. No relocation funding is available.
SICK MAIHAK manufactures, installs and services analyzers for gas and liquid analysis and measurement instrumentation for dust, opacity, volume flow and level. We serve the industries of power, cement, refining, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, waste incineration, water treatment, pulp and paper, steel, food and beverage, glass and other areas. We seek an experienced Logistics Lead for our Houston warehouse.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Prepares customer quotes, creates and maintains detailed management reports on sales activities, inventory, and supports the customer order process. Interfaces with prospects and customers Prepares and delivers technical presentations at trade shows, technical conferences and local society meetings. Assists with accurate literature distribution and provides sales follow-up. Works in conjunction with the Marketing Communications Specialist to brainstorm, design, and execute marketing campaigns, product brochures, trade show support materials and other marketing imperatives as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS:
- Four Year Degree in Marketing with a minimum of 10 years experience in the natural gas industry
- Must be able to absorb and disseminate detailed statistical information in relation to the industry
- Minimum of 10 years experience in outside sales, sales support and customer service
- Take, edit and assimilate professional photographs into brochures and product bulletins
- Proficient in all Windows and Excel, and Power Point programs
- Ability to work closely with clients and vendors
- Works well in fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Self directed and proactive
- Ability to anticipate or process information and respond appropriately and quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail orientated
MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reports to and takes direction from National Sales Manager (NSM)
- Helps to develop and maintain sales and marketing data as requested by NSM
- Supports inside sales by issuing quotes.
- Coordinates activities between the inside sales, project management, customers, representatives and the factory.
- Supports creation of client presentations for exhibition. Delivers client presentations as needed.
- Maintains inventory report, place purchase orders with factory
- Maintains knowledge of markets in which MAIHAK participates, including familiarity with basic features of major competitive products and training. Understands the importance to MAIHAK of major industries and market segments. Helps develop information on future market conditions and assists in developing sales forecast.
- In conjunction with MarComm, coordinates and maintains production of training and marketing materials for sales department from ideation to execution.
- Coordinates and delivers training sessions with department representatives. Edits brochures and product bulletins.
