Create custom resolutions for any value from 1 to 65,536 PPR
SICK (
www.sickusa.com), one of the world's leading manufacturers of sensors, safety systems, machine vision, and automatic identification products for factory and logistics automation, today announced the launch of its DFS60 Programmable Incremental Encoders. The new line of DFS60 Encoders can be customized to accommodate any value from 1 to 65,536 pulses per revolution (PPR) - something no other encoder can do. In addition, SICK is the only company to provide a USB-based programming tool that allows users to set the output voltage and zero set position through the encoder's software interface.
This highly robust encoder features a revolutionary mechanical design and a metal code disc for increased temperature tolerances, higher resolutions and an improved bearing lifetime. As with our previous programmable DRS21/26/61 CoreTech Encoders, the new DFS60 line is ideal for reducing inventory and enabling the user to create custom resolutions at the click of a button. These encoders are ideal for packaging and AGV applications that require precise and reliable position accuracy during the manufacturing process.
