Two programmable switching points reduce costs and wiring SICK, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of sensors, safety systems and automatic identification products for industrial applications, today announced the MZ2Q Magnetic Cylinder Sensor the first magnetic cylinder sensor with two programmable switching points. The new MZ2Q reduces installation costs and wiring, and is ideal for a variety of tasks in automation technology.
This 2 in 1 sensor offers rapid piston movements, two-fold final position detection of pneumatic cylinders, and the precise detection of different gripper positions. The MZ2Q can be taught to detect beginning stroke (retracted) and end stroke (extended) positions over a 2-in. (50 mm) stroke size. The sensor, which offers an IP 67 enclosure rating, can be completely recessed in the T-slot. The MZ2Q is available in 2 m (4-wire) and M8 (4-pin) versions. With its flexible installation options and universal accessories, the MZ2Q provides a number of features that are unique to the magnetic cylinder sensing industry.
