ICR850 - Intelligent Technology

Matrix sensor based 2D code systems require an exact positioning of the code for the capture of the code image. The trigger signal needs to be adjusted to the code position on the coded object. Depending on the type of code marking, an external illumination unit may also be required. This does not apply to the ICR850.

The integrated linear CCD array with 2048 elements/pixels offers a much larger reading field. The integrated software allows triggering onto the coded object, NOT onto the code on the object. The ICR850 can be used with the same trigger source as previously used for linear bar code readers. The integrated illumination is a laser line which offers high intensity illumination suitable for all code reading requirements.

The 2048 CCD elements allow the reading of codes with cell sizes down to 0.17 mm (6 mil). Even tiny codes can be identified, independent of their tilt or position on the coded object. The nominal reading distance is 100 mm (in).
Benefits
  • Code identification up to transport speeds of 4m/sec (900 fpm) at 1 mm cell size
  • Resolution of cell sizes down to 0.17 mm (6 mil) allows the verification of high-density markings
  • A scan width of 80 mm (3.3 in) allows a variable position of the coded labels
  • Identification of linear and matrix codes
  • Compact sensor with integrated illumination
  • Ethernet interface for advanced networking systems
