Bulkscan allows the continuous determination of volumes of bulk materials on transport systems. The laser measurement system, mounted directly above the conveyor belt, provides a two-dimensional profile of the bulk material. Three-dimensional volume flow, given out as an analog value, is calculated by taking the speed of the conveyor belt into account. This analog control output allows a constant transport flow to be maintained by changing the belt speed appropriately. Furthermore, throughput checks can be carried out on the basis of integrated total or daily figures.
