SICK's UE4100 PROFIsafe bus modules are IP 67 modules for demanding requirements. The UE4100 PROFIsafe is not just a decentralized I/O fieldbus node in an IP 67 design for connecting “classic” safety sensors, but also an intelligent decentralized communication interface to safety light curtains (e.g. C4000) and laser scanners (e.g. S3000). The extended range of functions of these devices is supported through the process profile of the PLC. Connected devices are configured and diagnosed consistently. |

Simple installation and commissioning SICK's C4000 Safety Light Curtains and S3000 Safety Laser Scanners may be configured and monitored either locally or via the PROFIsafe/PROFIBUS network using the UE4150 or UE4155. SICK's Configuration and Diagnostic Software (CDS) is used via the local RS-232c port on the device or embedded directly into the PROFIsafe programming software via .GSD file. This allows seamless access to advanced device parameters and diagnostic information.
