The CVS4 is an optical character recognition (OCR) vision sensor that can be taught-in via a keypad and a color monitor. The basic teach process is simple, and it is also possible to edit each single parameter after teaching.
The sensor can be used to check if the read chracters are correct or not compare to a taught-in reference or used to send out the read characters over the serial interface. Furthermore, it is possible to check serial numbers by counting up the reference string with an external trigger.
The small housing with an IP 67 rating makes it easy to use in industrial environments.
